Day 1: Depart from Kampala-Entebbe to Bwindi.

After morning breakfast, embark on your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, which is located in the South western Uganda, in the Kanungu district on the edge of Albertine Rift. This drive takes approximately 8 to 10 hours from Kampala/Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. On your way, you will have a stopover at the Equator to take some photos, and then later drive to Bwindi. Although Bwindi is a habitat to other animals like the bush buck, antelopes, forest duiker and so much of the bird species like African green broad-bill, white-tailed blue flycatcher, brown-necked parrot, white-bellied robin chat and Frazer’s eagle owl, it is most famous for the Mountain Gorillas. You will reach the park late in the evening. Overnight at Lake Mutanda Chameleon Hill Lodge.Meal Plan:Lunch and Dinner.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and an optional community walk.

Arise early in the morning, have breakfast and then drive to the park headquarters where they will brief you about how to track the Gorillas. Note that you have to be physically fit to undertake this activity and one is given one hour to interact with the primates. You will be led by the park rangers through the forest in bid to see the great apes. On your way, you will see other primates through the thick forest, like the red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, baboons and some bird species which include the African green broad-bill, White-tailed blue flycatcher, Brown necked parrot, White-bellied Robin chat and among others. After the trek, return to the lodge for a relaxation and if time permits, you may decide to carry out a community walk/nature walk. Overnight at Lake Mutanda Chameleon Hill Lodge. Day 3: Travel back to Kampala/Entebbe.

After an early morning breakfast, depart from Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and have a lunch en route in Mbarara at Igongo cultural center,the journey to Kampala/Entebbe will take approximately 8-10hrs drive.Meal Plan:Breakfast & Lunch.
